Mitja Vovko graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana in 2006. He complemented his professional knowledge by studying one semester at the University of Central England, Birmingham, UK.
As an architect, he participated in many smaller, individual design projects. With his colleagues, he designed the project enabling the realisation of the new Situla youth hostel in Novo mesto. He is also the author of two honourably mentioned architectural competition entries in Slovenia.
In Trimo, he primarily worked for 5 years in R&D as a consultant in the field of architecture and was involved in the development of new products. In 2015, he joined the Technical Sales Department where he focuses on modular building concepts, designing and developing of the BIM environment as well as ARTME façade solution product development. He has been a project team member in several important projects as the Low-energy multi-purpose sports hall Mokronog, Apple CO2 and the Mango Barcelona HQ building.
Additionally, in his day-to-day activities he acts as a promoter of upcoming technologies and focuses on new building envelope systems as well as BIM processes.
